Yesterday, Eva got to celebrate her half birthday with her classmates. Just like last year, Mike and I prepared a photo and a few sentences for each year of her life. And just like last year, Eva brought in a special treat for all her classmates. And not at all like last year, I let her use the electric mixer to make her treats.
I'm pretty sure that, for Eva, this was the highlight of her half birthday.
Inspired by my cousin Melissa, I taped crayons to the front of some of Sully's toy cars yesterday...instant boredom buster! (Even Eva got into it--she even taped up a few more cars for her brother when she got tired of drawing.)
This weekend, our family was lucky enough to be invited to a donut party in honor of Cousin Eliza's second birthday. We had lots of fun celebrating with the birthday girl! Well, MOST of us celebrated with the birthday girl...within 3 minutes of walking in the door, Sully remembered that his cousin Sebastian owns this:
Sully latched on to that digger for the entire morning--in fact, the boy barely took a break from scooping in order to have donuts (DONUTS!), let alone watching his cousin open presents or any other birthday-related activities.
Sorry, Eliza. Most of us were there because of you...I promise.
We have one single picture of a tractor on our viewmaster reels. Can you guess which picture is Sully's favorite? He likes to sit on that one image and click the lever halfway down until it disappears, then let it go so the tractor pops back up again.
