Last summer, Eva decided she wanted to save her money (beginning with the birthday money she'd just received) to buy an American Girl doll. She's spent the months since then collecting every spare penny she's come across, and devouring the AG catalogs, trying to decide which doll she wants most of all.
It just so happened that one of the very last gifts she opened this Christmas contained the last five dollars she needed to reach her goal (thank you, Grammy and Grampa). And somehow I managed to capture the exact second she realized she finally, finally has enough money to buy her doll.
Yippee! Now all we need is a trip to the Mall of America!
