Yesterday we woke to the news that school was canceled due to "inclement weather." Surprise! After an initial bout of sadness over missing school on Valentine's Day, Eva embraced her day off, and we all got to creating. Which is how the "Game of Love" came to be.
Did you catch that? We made a game! And it is wonderful.
The kids worked so hard on it throughout the day, and after dinner our family sat down to play a round. We had SO much fun! This game is filled with things like bear hugs and compliments and thankfulness...but there are also cards that read "Purr like a kitty and move ahead 3." and "Spiderman saves the day! Move ahead 7(!) spaces." (Can you guess which of these Sully contributed?)
Like I said: it is wonderful.
Eva and Sully are so proud of the work they put in, which is reward enough...but I also had the pleasure of seeing my husband "Walk like an elephant. Move ahead 1." and that right there made my day complete.
Thank you, "Game of Love." Thank you.
