Big weekend, last weekend. Big weekend. Mike got himself a deer. What? You didn't know he hunts? Well, he does, people. And he's a good shot (he hung his target sheet from sighting in his rifle on his mother's refrigerator.) So yeah. Need any venison? While Mike and his dad (and his cousin and her husband) were out doing hunter-ly things in the woods, I was in the nice, warm house making yummy things with Mike's mom (and our awesome helpers, Tanya and Andrea—the incredibly adorable children of the afore-mentioned cousin and her husband.) Namely, turning 15 pounds of potatoes into lefse. Eva spent hours digging through that bag—playing with
the fake blow dryer (it really blows air!), the combs and brushes (all
pink!), and piles and piles of pretend make-up (which she carefully
"applied" to her belly.)
I can't promise much as far as posting goes for the rest of the week...we'll be doing a lot of traveling (Eva will get to see BOTH sets of grandparents in one weekend!) So, just in case:
Happy Thanksgiving, everyone! I hope you all have lots to be thankful for.
