A hunk of non-drying clay, plus a handful of old golf tees, plus a plastic pencil box to keep it all in. Add in one enthusiastic kid with a wooden hammer, and you have one of the best, easiest Christmas gifts ever. It's now almost a year later, and he still uses it regularly!
Can you tell they're related?Poor Eva's been home sick for a couple days this week, which for some reason has translated into these two monkeys getting along really, really well. Maybe it's because she's had a couple mornings of alone time with me, so Eva has more patience with her brother...or maybe it's because Sully knows his sister's not feeling well, so he's taking it easy on her? Anyone want to buy a rock??
Yesterday, our children made $2.65 selling what pretty much amounted to rocks they'd chipped out of the concrete in our sidewalk. We have very, very good neighbors. (Now that they've had a taste of the sales world, Eva has plans to sell her drawings and stories, and Sully is designing a line of painted rock monster pets.) (Look out, world.)
